Neil shared his knowledge on the importance of matching pots to trees and the theory behind making the most of any composition

We then voted on trees to display at our next bonsai show which is at RHS Rosemoor on the 3rd and 4th of May click here

Fantastic AGM meeting held on Monday, for those who couldn’t attend, Margaret will have the minutes out soon. I will try to keep everyone up to speed in this group, as that’s part of my new role in the club

First, the exciting bit, Cecilia presented a thrilling lecture on her study about ancient oaks. Using terrestrial LiDAR to preserve and learn how these beautiful trees behave. Below this is a link to the public access data that Cecilia and her team gathered. It shows a really interesting 3D model with pinpoint accuracy of these ancient oaks
